About
Hurst Boiler & Welding Company, Inc. was founded in 1967 by Gene Hurst in Thomas County, Georgia. What began as a small shop behind the family home has grown into one of the world's largest manufacturers of industrial boilers with a 316,668 square-foot manufacturing facility on a 50-acre campus, employing more than 260 workers. Still family-owned and operated by the second and third generations of the Hurst family. Hurst Boiler designs, manufactures, engineers, and services gas, oil, coal, solid waste, wood, biomass, and hybrid fuel-fired steam and hot water boilers for customers worldwide. Notable projects include powering a COVID-19 hospital in Saudi Arabia, a tequila plant in Mexico running on agave waste, and poultry operations using chicken and turkey waste.
