Viessmann was founded in 1917 by Johann Viessmann in Hof an der Saale, Germany, as a small workshop specializing in the construction of steel boilers. In April 2023, Carrier Global acquired Viessmann's climate solutions division for €12 billion. Today, Viessmann operates 22 production facilities in 12 countries with more than 14,500 employees and €4 billion in annual revenue. Known for German engineering quality with stainless steel heat exchangers and lifetime warranties on residential Vitodens boilers.
